Ping

Two checks. Be a member on dest’s mesh, unless dest has az mesh open (public ping).

Probes the magicsock path. Prints pong friend via <endpoint|derp> <ms>. Homage: dojo |hi.

ping6 to the overlay address is the host’s reachability check. az peer add ~friend prints that address. az ssh and az ping register it too.

The OS can ping an installed peer by name: zod and zod.azimov.network. A pending peer does not answer. ping ~zod does not. ~zod is not a label.
